ABRAHAM Part 1

Abraham is a powerful film, based on the most dramatic and moving tale from the Old Testament in which an ordinary shepherd is called upon by God to show his abiding faith in extraordinary ways. Abraham (Richard Harris), and his wife. Sarah (Barbara Hershey) heed a divine command to leave home and embark on a difficult journey. Join them on this dramatic odyssey through the desert that leads them to the Promised Land, Canaan, where Abraham would become father to countless future generations. Witness the endless trials and tribulations Abraham must overcome to keep his faith, including the ultimate one: Gods command that Abraham sacrifice his beloved son, Isaac. Like all Bible movies, this film has numerous inaccuracies, the most bizarre are of course the kung fu fighting angels in Sodom. The lack of portrayal of the homosexual nature of the attempted assaults against the angels in Sodom, and the fact that the angels who were accompanying God when visiting Abraham (Jesus Christ - John 1:18 - 1 John 4:12 - John 6:46), were Asian and African - When God totally forbid Abraham, or any of His children, later Israel to ever marry or intermingle with any person outside of the Hebrew peoples. Both Abraham and Isaac went to great lengths to marry only Hebrew women. So did Jacob, but Esau earnt the wrath of God by marrying foreign women. So while such an idea may be politically correct in these days, the historical biblical record is totally opposite of what is presented in this film. There are of course many other inaccuracies, but it is not the intention to pull this film to pieces. Because apart from some of the obvious silliness in such scenes, this is a very good movie. - Visit our Partner Website pornu.su
